Hope you all are safe and sound! The whole world has a new normal but as a mother of a toddler, I’ve adapted this new normal of staying indoors and being a little extra with hygiene long ago. I’ve been exploring a lot of things which I always wanted to do but never did as I was engrossed, obsessed and constantly angry about everything going around. Realizing what stress can do to the skin, I decided to take control over my emotions rather than it telling me what to do.
A few Indian skincare brands have really up the skincare game with their efficient formulations and eco-friendly packaging. One such brand I am featuring here is, Deyga Organics, an organic skincare brand by Arthi Raguram. I carefully selected a few skin care products from their range for Aki and myself. Read on to know more about the amazing products I got to try from this brand.
Deyga Aloe Vera Gel
Ever since I got to know about the harmful pigments and fragrance being added in skincare products, I’ve completely avoided using them. I have a combination skin type and sensitive skin which tends to show little bumps and acne frequently. I always have a soothing lotion or a mist to calm down my sensitive skin and minimize the appearance of pores. Deyga aloe vera gel is a great addition to my skincare routine. My skin loves it when it is served chill and so I store it in the side compartment of the refrigerator. It shrinks the pores and gives a smooth appearance to the skin. Gliding on foundation or BB cream is a delight after using this aloe gel on my face.
Texture: The aloe vera gel has a clear texture with no added colours.
Fragrance: There are no artificial fragrances added to the gel which is why you must try this!
Price: 350 INR for 100g
This extremely hydrating gel suits all skin types. It is safe to be used by anyone. Dry-skinned beauties may layer add an extra nourishing mositurizer along with this. I always use it along with a facial oil for the glow.
Deyga Vanilla Dust Powder (Talc Free)
I love dusting powders and talc-free ones are pure love! Deyga vanilla dust powder has a wonderful aroma of vanilla sourced from Coorg. It is quite different from the usual vanilla aroma we are used to but in a good way. I simply love my home smelling of calming vanilla when I used this dusting powder. Every day workouts mean sweat and body odour which is a big NO for me. So, I layer it along with deodorant for a lasting effect.
Texture: The talc is finely milled has heavier particles, unlike other talcum powders that your lungs hate!
Fragrance: Coorgi vanilla
Price: 600 INR for 100 g
Deyga Rose and Mulethi Face Pack
The Rose and Mulethi face pack is one of their best-sellers and after using it on myself, I can say that it is an amazing product. I use it a face cleanser, scrub and face pack as it serves all three purposes. It has a loosely bound texture however the ingredients are well ground without any lumps. All you need to do it add a few drops of milk or rose water or plain water to a spoonful of face pack and apply it all over the face and neck. It may not cover the entire face like the other face packs do, but try applying it to the maximum area of the skin. After 4-5 minutes, spray some water on the face and scrub it in a circular motion. Rinse off, pat dry and you are good to go! My skin felt so clear and smooth after using this product.
Texture: It has a fluffed-up grainy texture that resembles husk.
Fragrance: It has a wonderful aroma of dried rose petals in it.
Price: 490 INR
The eco-friendly packaging of this face pack deserves appreciation. I’ve already used the outer box for storing knick-knacks.
