Did you ever feel guilty about burning coils and liquid vaporizers near your little one? The smoke from the coil and vaporizers are not safe for infants and kids. Some of the serious side effects include coughs, allergies and breathing problems. Every mother adopts several methods to keep her little one away from insects and mosquitoes like nets. But carrying it everywhere is just not feasible. How about an insect repellent spray that is 100% natural, DEET-free and has essential oils that actually works? I found a solution to this problem and I’d like to share this with all the mommies out there.
Mamaearth Natural Insect Repellent
What Does It Claim?
Hi! I am Mamaearth’s bug repellent. You know how difficult it is to keep babies indoors forever, right? Let’s prepare them to deal with the bullies that are pesky mosquitoes, gnats and flies. I am natural; DEET free and I have the power of natural essential aromatic oils like Citronella, Peppermint & Lemon Eucalyptus. I keep babies safe and free. I smell great but insects, especially mosquitoes find my odour pungent and run away.
What Is It Made Of?
Purified water, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil*, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Oil*, And Essential Oils Of Cymbopogon Nardus (Citronella)*, 2% Cedrus Atlantica (Cedar)*, lemon eucalyptus*, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary)*, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint)* and Secret Mama’s Love Oil.
How Much and Where to Buy?
How Effective Is The Product?
It’s Summer and along with the heat we have to deal with these creepy insects too! There is a view of the lawn from our bedroom and you can only imagine the number of flies and mosquitoes that are ready to attack the moment we open the doors. Despite the net linings on the doors and windows and fancy diffusers, these nasty little creatures sneak in. It’s a nightmare to see big red blotches of mosquito bites on my little baby’s body. I have known Mamaearth ever since it started and absolutely love the range of products they come up with every time. I got Mamaearth Natural Insect Repellent as a PR sample and I tried it several times before writing this review.
The first thing you’ll notice about this insect repellent is that it has a strong smell. It smells like floor cleaner to me but that’s not an issue unless it does the job. I spray it on the corners of the bed and my baby’s bed because I am sceptical about spraying it on the clothes anywhere on the body no matter how ‘green’ it is.
It does the job! Yes, every time I used this spray there were almost no mosquitos bites on the body. I also spray it near the basket of toys because they usually hide inside the basket and attack when my baby plays with the toys.
One thing I dislike about this spray is that it has a very pungent odour. Almost gives me a headache! I hope the brands hear me out and do something about this because this is one of the most common feedback given by people who have used this insect repellent.
