Hello, Everyone!

It’s a myth that people with oily skin breakout more often than other skin types. It is an even bigger myth that these outbreaks occur during teenage and subside with time. There are various hormonal changes that take place inside the body of a female, which has a direct impact on the dermal health. Zits also indicates the underlying health condition like polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) or Thyroid disorders. It is important to get it diagnosed with the help of a dermatologist and a gynecologist to know the exact reason behind frequent breakouts. Various brands offer acne solutions but only a few brands adopt a holistic approach in making of their products. One such brand is Himalaya, whose Acne-n-Pimple cream is today on my testing table.

Himalaya Acne-n-Pimple Cream

What Does it Claim?

Himalaya’s Acne-n-Pimple Cream treats pimples and skin eruptions, healing infection while keeping the skin soft and smooth. It has excellent astringent, styptic and cooling properties derived from the goodness of Lentil, Silk Cotton Tree, Five-leaved Chaste Tree extracts, Barbados Aloe and Alum.

My Experience With the Product

Himalaya Acne-n-pimple cream was sent across for review by the brand. I am not someone who sticks on to a single product or repurchase it. However, there are certain holy grail products when it comes to skincare and haircare, that I cannot live without. I got this cream from Himalaya just at the right time since I was breaking out like crazy. Since the last couple of years, I’ve been using Gachi (Fuller’s earth) everytime my skin misbehaves. For a change, I tried this acne and pimple cream. It comes in a simple tube packaging with a plastic screw lid. It has a beige color and has a medicine like fragrance.

As given in the instructions, I applied a bit of this cream on the existing zits and the area surrounding them. I also applied it on acne scars hoping it prove at least some good in lightening them. My skin felt a bit oily but thankfully it did not lead to any further breakouts. It is recommended to use this before going to bed as the ingredients would work much better when left overnight. I wouldn’t say that this works on acne and pimples but I can say that it can prevent breakouts on regular usage over a period of time. Also, if you have an acne spot that is yet to pop up, you can very well use this cream to control the damage. Everything else apart, I was shocked to see parabens in the list of inactive ingredients!

Let me sum the pros and cons for you,

 ♥ Dirt cheap

♥ Easy application

♥ Controls acne to a certain extent

♥ Soothes the acne bumps

♥ Moisturizes the skin

♥ Suited for daily use

♥ Easily available

🙁 Strong smell, which I am not quite a fan

🙁 Parabens on the ingredient list are going to haunt me forever!

Will I Recommend This to You?

Himalaya Acne-n-Pimple cream is totally inexpensive and you may want to give it a try. But personally, I do not like the fact that there are parabens in it, even though it has no relation to the effectiveness of the other ingredients. I would rather recommend other acne-treatment products from Himalaya, which are quite popular.
