Mamaearth Anti Hair Fall Kit – Review

Peladophobia, fear of losing your hair, is probably one of the most underrated phobias according to me. Because the very sight of hair in my comb or anywhere in my living space gives me panic attacks. Stress and nutritional deficiencies are the main reasons for hair loss and can be treated completely. But what about the stress that is caused due to hair fall leading to more hair fall? 🙁 Especially new mothers experience unexplainable hair loss post pregnancy. Mamaearth is a well-known brand that provides 100% natural and organic solutions for both mamas and babies. They’ve recently launched the Mamaearth Anti Hair Fall Kit and I am here with the detailed review on the same after a week’s trial.

Mamaearth Anti Hair Fall Kit

What Does It Claim?

Hi, I am Mamaearth’s Anti hair fall control kit. I am full of natural and organic bioactives which help promote hair fall control & hair regrowth. I follow a 4 step process from root to tip to ensure I fix all your hair issues. Use me regularly and you won’t ever need another hair products.

What Does The Kit Include?

The Mamaearth Anti Hair Fall Kit for mamas include the following,

  1. Mamaearth Root Restore Hair Oil
  2. Mamaearth Happy Heads Shampoo
  3. Mamaearth No More Tangles Conditioner
  4. Mamaearth Pro-Growth Hair Tonic

How to Use?

Mamaearth Anti Hair Fall Kit claims that it can cure hair fall issues when used regularly over a time period of 6 weeks. There are four steps involved in the process of getting healthy and problem-free mane. Let’s have a look at how each step benefits the hair and treats hair fall.

Step 1: Oiling

The first step to healthy hair according to the Mamaearth Anti Hair Fall Kit is oiling. The roots need nourishment so that it can facilitate hair growth and prevent breakage of hair. Hence, Mamaearth made Root Restore Hair Oil which has great ingredients like rosemary oil, bhringraj oil and vitamin E. This comes in a pump bottle with a tightly secured lid. I prefer massaging this hair oil onto my scalp with the help of a cotton ball since it is mentioned that it should be applied only to the scalp.

Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Orange Oil, Rosemary Oil, Palmarosa Oil, Evening primrose Oil, Jojoba Oil, Cinnamon bark Oil, Bhringraj Oil, Vitamin E.

Color and Texture: Mamaearth Root Restore Hair Oil has a light brown color and a runny texture.

Fragrance: It has a strong fragrance which is dominated by rosemary oil.

Price: Mamaearth Root Restore Hair Oil costs 399 INR for 100 ml. Buy from HERE

Though I didn’t like the fragrance much, I decided to give it a try for the awesome ingredients. I cannot comment on the hair fall part as of now but definitely made my hair shinier. I am going to continue using this hair oil because it contains a great blend of oils and zero chemicals. I suggest keeping it for at least one hour before washing the hair.

Step 2: Shampooing

Shampooing is the second step as described on the label. The Mamaearth Happy Heads shampoo comes with a pump bottle without the lid. The pump can be twisted in order to close or open the nozzle. But I wouldn’t recommend carrying it along during travel because there are high chances of spillage. It contains biotin, horse chestnut, and amla which are very effective in boosting hair growth and volume.

Ingredients: Biotin, Bhringraj Powder Extract, Amla Fruit Powder, Horse Chestnut Extract, Olive Leaf Extract, Aqua, Lime Oil, Vegetable Glycerine, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Sodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Potassium Sorbate, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Linoleic Acid, Lactic Acid.

Color and Texture: The shampoo is clear or transparent and has a thick consistency.

Fragrance: It has a mild fragrance that is pleasing to the senses.

Price: Mamaearth Happy Heads Shampoo costs 349 INR for 200 ml. Buy from HERE

I used this shampoo over 4-5 times until now. It lathers well when mixed with water but do not expect to get rid of the oil in one wash. Mine is an oily scalp which looks limp and lifeless when not shampooed for straight two days. So this worked fine for me. I had to wash my hair twice to get that squeaky clean feel. However, the results might vary for people with dry scalp. I suggest using a wide-toothed comb while shampooing to avoid tangles.

Step 3: Conditioning

I’ve given up conditioning after shampoo long ago since my dermatologist advised me to stay away from chemical-based conditioners. Because my already thin hairs cannot take more chemicals. But when Mamaearth No More tangles conditioner was introduced, I decided to give it a try without a second thought. Like most conditioners, this did not make my hair instantly smooth. However, when I kept it for a good 2-3 minutes, I noticed that my hair weighed down and tangles were sorted to a certain extent. Since this is a completely natural product, it has an overpowering fragrance and the results take time to show.

Color and Texture: The conditioner is creamy white and looks like a rich emollient.

Fragrance: It has a strong fragrance due to the presence of natural oils.

Price: Mamaearth No More Tangles Conditioner costs 349 INR for 200 ml. Buy from HERE

Step 4: Nourishing & Treatment

The final product included in the Mamaearth Anti Hairfall Kit is the serum or tonic. This is important because hair needs nourishment for a longer period of time and this can be achieved only by locking in the goodness of natural oils. Mamaearth Pro-Growth Hair Tonic claims to reduce hair fall, strengthen roots and improve hair density. It comes in a similar packaging as above products. It has a spray nozzle that helps in applying the hair-growth tonic directly on the scalp (as given on the label). It contains caffeine which is great for stimulating hair growth by improving blood circulation.

Color and Texture: It is clear watery tonic but creates a slight lather when sprayed.

Fragrance: It has a strong fragrance that tones down after sometime

Price: Mamaearth Pro-Growth Hair Tonic costs 499 INR for 100 ml. Buy from HERE

I’ve used it a few times to learn if it really works. This tonic has a non-oily formula that spreads on the scalp easily and gets absorbed in minutes. I am not too impressed by the fragrance and the lather it creates while spraying. But I am glad that it does not last long and subsides in a few minutes after application. One thing I liked about this hair tonic is that it did not make my hair feel oily the next day. The scalp felt dry and non-greasy, which is a boon for oily and limp manes like mine. However, I could not dare to go out without washing my hair because I felt the strong fragrance might still be present for others despite my nostrils getting used to it! 😀

Final Verdict on Mamaearth Anti Hair Fall Kit

I appreciate the efforts taken by Mamaearth for coming up with such thoughtful products for mothers. With regular usage of Mamaearth Anti-Hairfall Kit, there will be certainly a drastic improvement in hair growth and texture. However, from what I’ve felt after using each product is that it may not suit people with dry scalp and frizzy hair. The natural ingredients take time to show results and thus this kit may take up to 6 weeks to shows results.

Will I Recommend This?

I’d recommend Mamaearth Anti-Hairfall Kit for all the mommies with oily/limp hair that suffers breakage due to under-nourishment. Enjoy your own hair-spa at home with this economical hair kit.
